Installing PHP ZIP in cPanel

There may come a time when you need to install PHP ZIP onto your website hosting platform. This is a fairly straight forward process and at the time of writing this article (October 2022) the following steps should be taken:

1. Log in to your cPanel via your website hosting provider
2. Navigate to ‘Select PHP Version’, normally this is within the ‘Software’ section in cPanel
3. Once into the PHP selector click on the Extensions tab
4. Scroll down to ‘Z’ and select ‘zip’

The system should now enable this extension and inform you that it was successfully installed.
