Are you a business based in Dorset and struggling to work your way through the number of web design agencies in the Dorset area? If so then we fully understand your frustration which is why we opened our Web Design shop in Poole, Dorset. At Brown Booth, we believe in being fully transparent with not just our prices but our services as well. Having a shop in the heart of the old town Poole just up from Poole Quay allows our customers to pop in and see us any time. Our door is always open and just like any other conventional high street shop we are open to the public.
Every customer is different, some like phone calls whilst others like Zoom or Teams calls. The majority of our clients both existing and new ones love the fact that they can just pop in and see us at anytime. Most web companies tend to be tucked away above shops or in larger office blocks. We wanted to be customer facing just like our website is on the internet.
Though we are based in Poole, Dorset we do get customers from further afield and what better way to spend a day than to visit your web company and then spend the rest of the day on Poole Quay watching the day go buy or visiting one of our world class beaches. Either way that’s the benefit of having us as your web partner based in Poole.
Absolutely, we encourage all of our customers to come and see us for a coffee and a chat. We love nothing more than to understand your business website requirements in a relaxed environment. With Dorset being a popular destination for tourism we also get a lot of passing trade, especially in the summer. Walk in customers are always welcome in our web design shop.
Designing and Developing websites is our passion and being creative is just one element of our process. We always like to know our customers and looking at their business is another important factor. Designing a website for a client without getting to know them can sometimes be very difficult. Sometimes it is just a simple case of putting a face to a voice. We do prefer a more relational approach with all of our customers and it’s always exciting meeting a new customer and getting to know their business.
It all starts with a coffee or Tea. We meet with all of our customers, sometimes remotely but most of the times in our Dorset based web shop. The first meeting is all about finding out what the customer wants along with understanding the requirements and their business.
We are always asked, what is the process. We initially go through an onboarding stage which includes setting our customers up on our internal systems. From CRM through to accounting, this part is very important to get right. Once this has been completed, we can then move onto the initial web design stage.
When we build a website it goes through an initial design stage which goes in an iterative process until the customer is happy with the design. At this point we move onto the development for the rest of the website. Throughout the entire process we communicate with our customers.
This is a great question and one we are always asked. We always ask our customers to give us 2-3 websites that they like the look of. Not necessarily in their industry just websites that they like the design elements on. We then use these websites as inspiration for the initial web design process. To be clear we will never copy a website as that is not us at all. We are a creative bunch and love nothing more than designing a website to wow our customers. Sometimes we do have a customer that simply wants to let us have at it. This is also ok for us to do but can sometimes mean that the web design process can take a little longer. Typically the initial web design process takes up to two weeks.
There are a number of elements that make up a website. These are web design, web development, web content and the final website audit. We look after the web design and web development but the content normally comes from the customer either from an existing website or new content is provided to us. The final website audit is absolutely on us and is carried out on every website we go live with.
Once we have completed the development and all content has been populated we move onto the go live stage. As part of the go live process, we carry out a full website audit. This includes ensuring that the website speed is up to a good standard at minimum. We also make sure that the website is mobile friendly for every element on the website itself. This is for mobile phone screen size through to full PC screen.
The final part of our go live process is to ensure that all of the pages are indexed by Google. For this process we use WordPress Yoast plugin to generate the site map for the website and we then submit this site map to Google manually. Google would pick up your site naturally over time, this process simply forces Google to look at your website as soon as possible to index the pages.
The fact that our team is based in Poole, Dorset allows us to easily provide on-site visits and gain a thorough understanding of your business. This knowledge base gives us the insight we need to create an optimised website with tailored marketing strategies sure to make a huge impact for your company.
